A rare 1995 Ferrari F50, painted in Giallo Modena and previously owned by fashion designer Ralph Lauren, will be auctioned during the Monterey Car Week in 2025. This particular model is one of only two American-specification F50s produced in this color.
Ralph Lauren originally acquired the F50, keeping it in his collection for eight years. The car was sold in May 2003 with approximately 5,300 miles. It then passed to a couple of enthusiasts who displayed it publicly only on special occasions, including the Cavallino Classic in 2009.
The car is in impeccable condition, with fewer than 5,400 miles driven, and holds Ferrari Classiche certification, confirming its originality. It has recently undergone a complete maintenance service, including the replacement of the fuel tank, tires, and brake components. The estimated sale price for this F50 is between $6,500,000 and $7,500,000, reflecting its rarity, provenance, and exceptional condition.
RM Sotheby's will conduct the auction during the Monterey Car Week in mid-August 2025. This event offers a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to acquire one of Ferrari's rarest and most sought-after models, with a history tied to one of fashion's most iconic figures.
