Julien's Auctions in Los Angeles hosted a significant auction on June 27, 2025, featuring over 300 items from the wardrobes of Princess Diana and other members of the British Royal Family.

Among the items were gowns, dresses, handbags, handwritten letters, and sketches.

Other notable lots included a Catherine Walker evening gown worn by the Princess during a tour of Persia in 1986, and a dress by Gianni Versace.

Each of these dresses was estimated to sell for between $200,000 and $300,000.

Also featured in the auction were a Dior handbag gifted to Diana by Bernadette Chirac, the First Lady of France, and a scarf she wore during a polo match.

The handbag sold for $325,000, with a starting price of $5,000, and the scarf for $26,000, also starting at $5,000.

Proceeds from the sale of these items will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy UK, a charity that supports the legacy of Princess Diana.

Previously, in December 2023, a black and blue dress worn by Princess Diana sold for $1.148 million at auction, setting a record for her wardrobe.

The June 27, 2025, Julien's Auctions event was a landmark occasion in the world of fashion and collecting, offering a unique opportunity to acquire historical items associated with the life of Princess Diana and the British Royal Family.
