A Michael Jordan rookie-year Chicago Bulls jersey has fetched a staggering $4.215 million at a Sotheby's auction. The red jersey, worn and signed by Jordan during a preseason game on October 5, 1984, in Peoria, Illinois, marks his debut with the Bulls. This particular jersey, bearing the iconic number 23, is the only certified game-worn rookie jersey from that year, making it a unique piece of NBA history. Jordan scored 32 points in the game.
