A Land Rover Defender 90, previously owned and driven by King Charles, fetched £67,500 at auction, surpassing its estimated value by more than £17,000. The vehicle, used by the King during his time as the Duke of Cornwall, was sold at the NEC in Birmingham on Saturday. The regal Keswick Green Defender boasts unique modifications, including heated seats installed specifically for the King and Queen Camilla. Delivered to Highgrove House in November 2010, the Land Rover had just 24,595 miles on the clock at the time of purchase. Iconic Auctioneers, in partnership with a private collector, handled the sale, noting the vehicle's history of being dutifully cared for as part of a Royal Collection.
