Twitter's iconic bird logo, removed by Elon Musk from the company's San Francisco headquarters, fetched $34,375 at auction. The 12x9ft sign, weighing 254kg, was sold by RR Auction, a dealer in rare and collectible items. The buyer remains unnamed. This sale follows Musk's previous auctions of Twitter memorabilia, office equipment, and art. The auction, titled "Twitter Rebranding," featured 584 lots, including viral image art like Ellen DeGeneres' Oscar selfie and Barack Obama's re-election tweet. Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion in 2022, subsequently laying off a significant portion of the workforce and implementing policy changes.
