Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle Artwork to be Auctioned at PNG Awards Dinner: A Collaboration by Julian and Lamb

A unique artwork, "Golden Splendor -- The 1907 Saint-Gaudens High Relief Double Eagle," celebrating the iconic American coin, will be unveiled and auctioned at the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG) awards dinner on April 23, 2025, in Schaumburg, Illinois. This collaboration between numismatic artist Robert Julian and painter Robert Lamb reimagines the classic coin on a grand scale.

The artwork, valued between $1,500 and $3,000, is a signed and numbered limited-edition giclée on canvas with an antique Art Nouveau lacquer finish. Only 25 pieces were created. Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to bid on the first print in a silent auction. The original artwork will also be on display.

The PNG awards dinner recognizes achievements in numismatics. The unveiling coincides with the PNG Dealer Day show and the Central States Numismatic Society (CSNS) convention. Collectors can ask their PNG dealer to bid on their behalf. For more information, contact PNG headquarters.
