Bob Dylan's earliest demo recording, a reel-to-reel tape featuring six early tracks including "Song to Woody" and "He Was a Friend of Mine," is up for auction. Recorded live at New York's Gaslight Café in 1961, the tape is estimated to sell for over $20,000. Terri Thal, Dylan's first manager, created the tape to showcase his talent to nightclub managers. RR Auction, based in Boston, is handling the sale, which includes over 70 Dylan-related items. Among them is a Hohner Marine Band harmonica played by Dylan during his 1966 world tour, estimated at over $8,000. The auction coincides with the buzz around the Dylan biopic "A Complete Unknown," nominated for eight Academy Awards. The RR Auction concludes March 12.
