Abu Dhabi has launched the Health, Endurance, Longevity, and Medicine (HELM) cluster to revolutionize healthcare.

This initiative, spearheaded by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), aims to accelerate the development of next-generation medicines and personalized therapies.

The HELM cluster will focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven healthcare solutions.

The HELM cluster will integrate research, regulation, and commercial deployment to drive healthcare innovation.

It will support scalable infrastructure to handle complex healthcare data, including clinical, genomic, and proteomic domains.

Partners like Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) and Hub71 will facilitate targeted interventions for complex healthcare challenges.

The initiative seeks to expedite the generation of intellectual property and facilitate the commercialization of advanced healthcare innovations.

The DoH provides a progressive regulatory environment, while ADIO accelerates market entry with tailored investor support.

ADIA Lab injects expertise in AI and computational science, and research institutions contribute the scientific aspect.

HELM aims to cultivate talent and accelerate the growth of high-potential ventures in healthtech innovation.

The cluster will support the development of groundbreaking medicines, biotechnologies, and therapies, integrating AI and advanced healthcare data analytics.

The goal is to transition from a reactive to a preventive health model, focusing on longevity, quality of life, and individualized treatment.
