A recent HelloSafe report has revealed that Iceland is the safest country for tourists in 2025, scoring 18.23 out of 100. Singapore (19.99 points) and Denmark (20.05 points) follow closely behind. The Travel Safety Index 2025 evaluates countries on a scale of 0 to 100, where a lower score indicates greater safety.

This index is based on 35 key indicators grouped into five areas: natural phenomena, levels of social violence, involvement in war conflicts, quality of the healthcare system, and degree of militarization. To ensure accuracy, the study relied on data from recognized international institutions such as various United Nations agencies, the World Bank, and the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), among others.

Europe dominates the top rankings, with 12 European nations in the top 15 safest destinations. This European dominance largely reflects the high standards in public services and governance that characterize the region. Outside of Europe, Bhutan (22.98 points) and Qatar (23.33 points) also stand out, having positioned themselves as reliable options for those seeking to travel with peace of mind.

Conversely, the Philippines, Colombia, and Mexico occupy the last positions in the index, being considered the least safe countries to travel to in 2025. These destinations present significant security challenges for tourists. This report underscores the importance of considering safety when planning international trips, highlighting Iceland as the most reliable destination for tourists in 2025.
