China waives visa requirements for brazilian tourists until 2026

Great news for Brazilian travelers! China has announced a visa-free policy for tourism, business, and transit for up to 30 days. This exciting development allows citizens of Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay to explore China without the hassle of visa applications.

The policy, revealed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian, is valid from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2026. This initiative aims to strengthen relations with South American countries and boost tourism.

This visa exemption covers tourism, business trips, family visits, exchanges, and even transit purposes. Previously, Brazilians needed a visa for any entry into China, including tourism and connecting flights.

The standard tourist visa currently costs R$475 and allows stays of up to 90 days. While this new policy is in effect, that cost is eliminated for stays under 30 days.

Travelers should still be prepared for immigration checks. Essential documents include proof of accommodation, return flight bookings, and evidence of sufficient funds.

Air China now offers flights from São Paulo to Beijing with a stopover in Madrid, providing a convenient route to China. Get ready to explore the wonders of China visa-free!
