In June 2025, the Balearic Islands Tourism Strategy Agency (AETIB) launched the 'Balearic Islands, let's care for them together' campaign. This initiative aims to encourage visitors to respect the islands' natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The campaign features eight key messages. These messages address challenges such as environmental respect, efficient water use, and sustainable mobility. It also promotes support for local products.
The campaign is displayed at major entry points, including airports and maritime terminals. It is available in six languages: Spanish, Catalan, English, German, French, and Italian. Jaume Bauzà, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, highlighted the importance of responsible tourism.
This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Balearic government. In January 2025, an investment of over €1.12 billion was announced for sustainability and modernization. These funds come from the European Union's Next Generation EU Funds and the Sustainable Tourism Tax.
The 'Balearic Islands, let's care for them together' campaign reflects the region's commitment to balancing tourism development with environmental and social responsibility.
