Disney is set to expand its global presence with a new theme park in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This will be Disney's seventh theme park worldwide. The entertainment giant made the announcement recently, stirring excitement among travelers and Disney enthusiasts.

The waterfront resort will be located on Yas Island, already a hub for entertainment. Yas Island is home to attractions like the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld, and a waterpark. This strategic location aims to capitalize on the millions of tourists passing through Abu Dhabi and Dubai each year.

Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, is rapidly becoming a major tourist destination. The city boasts cultural attractions like the Louvre Abu Dhabi and numerous museums under construction. Disney hopes to attract some of the 120 million airline passengers that travel through Abu Dhabi and Dubai each year.

Miral, an Abu Dhabi developer, will oversee the construction and operation of the park. Disney will handle the design, development, and licensing of its intellectual property. The California-based company will not provide capital for the project but will earn royalties and service fees based on the resort's revenues.

While an official opening date has not been announced, the project is expected to further boost Abu Dhabi's tourism sector. The new theme park promises to be a major draw for families and Disney fans worldwide. This will add another world-class attraction to the already impressive offerings of Yas Island.
