The Morro-Cabaña historical military park in Havana will host the International Tourism Fair, FITCuba, from April 30 to May 3, 2025. This event will celebrate Cuban traditions and feature China as the guest of honor, marking the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and China.
A delegation from China is expected to attend, exploring opportunities to showcase Cuban tourism products. The fair will include performances by Chinese and Cuban artists, blending traditional and modern styles. China's pavilion will highlight the integration of culture and tourism, combining natural landscapes with cultural expressions.
FITCuba 2025 aims to boost Chinese tourism to Cuba, following the resumption of direct flights between Beijing and Havana in May 2024. In May 2024, Cuba also introduced a visa-free policy for Chinese citizens. These efforts have increased Chinese tourist arrivals to Cuba by 50% in 2024, reaching 27,000 visitors.
