Edited by: Елена 11

Embark on a journey through the picturesque villages of Umbria with "Degusta il Borgo," a project blending the region's beauty with local food and wine traditions. From April 13th to June 22nd, eight experiential itineraries along the Sagrantino Wine Route will unfold, showcasing history, nature, and culture. This year, the initiative expands beyond Montefalco and Bevagna to include Giano dell'Umbria and Gualdo Cattaneo. Organized by the La Strada del Sagrantino association, with the patronage of the participating municipalities, each village will host two events: a nature walk with an expert guide and an artistic tour with a tourist guide. Each event includes a tasting box containing a bottle of Montefalco Rosso Doc wine, a screen-printed tasting glass, and a map of La Strada del Sagrantino. Online booking is required for each event. The journey begins on April 13th in Bevagna with "Roman Bevagna: In the Footsteps of Ancient Mevania," an indoor archaeological tour exploring Mevania's ancient identity as a thriving commercial center on the Via Flaminia. Discover the archaeological remains within structures like the thermal baths, port building, and the Civic Museum. On Easter Monday, April 21st, Montefalco hosts "The Colors of Montefalco in Spring: Trekking Among Rows and Olive Groves," a circular route through the village and surrounding countryside. This excursion focuses on the vibrant colors of spring, exploring origins and typical features while walking through vineyards and olive groves. "Degusta il Borgo" continues until June with events in Giano dell'Umbria (April 27th and June 1st), Gualdo Cattaneo (May 4th and June 8th), Bevagna (May 11th), and Montefalco (June 22nd). Each event promises a unique exploration of Umbria's hidden gems.
