Fast Boat to Connect Banyuwangi, Java to Bali in 2.5 Hours Starting June 2025

A new fast boat service is scheduled to launch in June 2025, connecting Marina Boom Banyuwangi in East Java to Serangan Port in Denpasar, Bali. This service aims to transport up to 300 passengers in approximately 2.5 hours, significantly reducing travel time between the islands. The initiative is designed to boost domestic tourism to Bali and improve connectivity between East Java and Bali. According to Bali's Head of Tourism, Tjok Bagus Pemayun, the fast boat will help distribute tourists more evenly across the island. East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani inspected the Marina Boom Banyuwangi port in early April 2025 to ensure its readiness for the new service. Khofifah requested that the port's design reflect the local Banyuwangi identity. The fast boat service is expected to provide a convenient and efficient travel option for tourists. The Banyuwangi Regent noted that in addition to improving transportation access, the fast boat service between Banyuwangi and Bali is expected to positively impact the region's economy.
