Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended issuing Umrah, business, and family visit visas for travelers from 14 countries, including India, until mid-June 2025. This decision aims to manage overcrowding and enhance safety during the Hajj season. The ban affects Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen. The last date for issuing Umrah visas is April 13, 2025. Individuals already holding visas can remain in Saudi Arabia until their visa expires. However, those found staying illegally after the ban may face a five-year restriction on future entry. Saudi authorities reported that some travelers on business and family visas engaged in unauthorized work, violating visa regulations and disrupting the labor market. The temporary suspension is intended to streamline travel regulations and improve safety measures during the Hajj season. Normal visa processes are expected to resume after mid-June.
