Edited by: Irina Davgali

Assam is set to become an even more attractive destination with recent government initiatives aimed at boosting tourism and improving transportation. The Assam Cabinet has approved the expansion of Vivanta, Guwahati, a move designed to enhance the city's appeal to travelers. This expansion signifies a commitment to providing world-class hospitality and attracting a larger influx of tourists to the region. Furthermore, Assam is modernizing its driver training and licensing process with the creation of Automated Driver Testing Tracks (ADTT) across the state. This initiative aims to streamline the process, reduce manual intervention, and ensure fairness and efficiency. Five ADTCs are currently under construction and expected to be operational within the next five months, with plans for further expansion to at least one training center in each Legislative Assembly Constituency. These developments signal a significant investment in Assam's future as a premier travel destination, promising improved infrastructure and enhanced experiences for visitors.
