Vietnam and Singapore have elevated their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during a recent official visit by Vietnam's General Secretary To Lam. This milestone marks a new chapter in bilateral relations, fostering deeper cooperation in various sectors, including economics, trade, investment, digital transformation, green economy, and security. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening ASEAN unity and promoting sustainable development in the region, particularly in the Mekong sub-region. They also reaffirmed their commitment to building a peaceful, cooperative, and developing South China Sea, advocating for substantive and effective COC negotiations in line with international law.
