Google Maps has launched a new feature providing real-time information on Jakarta's Commuter Line Electric Train (KRL), including arrival times and train positions. This update, a collaboration with PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (PT KCI), aims to improve travel experiences, particularly during the busy Ramadan and homecoming (mudik) season. According to Google Maps Indonesia, searches for exodus information surge before Ramadan, making this feature highly relevant. Users can now access KRL schedules, estimated arrival times, train tracking, and delay notifications directly within Google Maps. The app also provides information on long-distance trains, including schedules and stopping stations, to assist travelers during the homecoming period. Google Maps is also enhancing navigation for private vehicle users through collaborations with the Indonesian National Police, Jasa Marga, Korlantas, and the Ministry of Transportation.
