Rajasthan Boosts Tourist Safety: Mobile App, Increased Security, and Jaipur Revitalization on the Horizon

Edited by: Елена 11

Rajasthan is taking significant steps to enhance the safety and experience of tourists. The state government is launching a mobile app that will provide real-time information on nearby police stations, hospitals, transportation, and attractions. This initiative aims to ensure a seamless travel experience for visitors. Security measures have been strengthened with an increase in the Tourist Assistance Force (TAF) from 139 to 250 personnel in December 2024. TAF booths are already active at key locations like Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal, addressing tourist concerns and taking action against fraudulent activities. In 2024, authorities acted against 170 touts in Jaipur. Furthermore, a budget of Rs 100 crore has been allocated for the revitalization of Jaipur's historic walled city in the 2024-25 fiscal year, demonstrating the government's commitment to preserving and improving tourist destinations.
