Direct Flights Connect Miami and Belém: New Route Launches June 15th, Boosting Tourism Ahead of COP30

Get ready to explore the Amazon! Starting June 15th, a new direct flight route will connect Miami and Belém, Brazil, making it easier than ever to visit this vibrant city and the surrounding Amazon region. Gol Airlines will operate the route twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays. This initiative aims to boost tourism and improve air connectivity to Northern Brazil, particularly with the upcoming COP30 climate conference in Belém in 2025. The airline plans to triple flights to Belém for the event. In 2024, Pará welcomed 32,000 foreign tourists, and Belém International Airport saw a record 4.1 million passengers. The new Miami flight is expected to further increase international traffic, which grew by 58% in 2024. Currently, Gol operates an international flight from Belém to Paramaribo, Suriname, and serves four cities in Pará domestically.
