The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) is focusing on employee well-being as a key factor in achieving business success. Recently, they conducted a training program called 'Leading with Happiness' to highlight the connection between satisfied employees and improved business outcomes.

The 'Leading with Happiness' program included an interactive masterclass for general and deputy general managers, along with a full-day workshop for their delegates. Both sessions were led by Alexander Kjerulf, a renowned Chief Happiness Officer and expert in workplace satisfaction.

The program emphasized that employee happiness goes beyond just financial rewards. It focused on how leaders can maintain their own happiness at work and provided tools to promote happiness within their teams. Studies suggest that effective leadership can motivate employees, leading to increased effort and better customer service. Maryam Al-Nasrallah, Talent Management Manager at NBK, highlighted that the workshop demonstrates NBK's dedication to employee well-being and satisfaction.

NBK offers various initiatives to promote employee health and foster a positive work environment, aiming to stimulate creativity and innovation. In 2024, NBK received the Gold Award for 'Excellence in Health and Wellbeing' from the SHRM MENA STAR Awards, recognizing their investment in human capital through training and development programs.
