A friendly cat has appeared in a managed colony in New York — with the tiniest meow, one that can barely be heard. Volunteers from Flatbush Cats took him off the street, checked him for a chip and, finding no owners, gave him the name Tarazed and a chance at a new life in a foster home.
The cat looked exhausted, but he immediately showed a calm and friendly nature. In an Instagram update, the organization noted that he "turned up in the colony not in the best shape and with the quietest meow it had ever heard." None of the neighbors recognized the animal, so he was immediately moved to a safe space.
Tarazed underwent the necessary examination and received initial medical care. After that, he was placed in a "soft foster home," where he is adapting quickly and feeling comfortable. The volunteers emphasize that it is precisely cases like this that show the importance of timely intervention.
