An off-duty police officer in Röttenbach, Germany, rescued a cat trapped in a tilted window of an apartment building. The officer noticed the cat stuck after it had jumped from a first-floor balcony onto a window sill and tried to re-enter the apartment. Unable to reach the apartment owner, the officer contacted the landlord and the fire department. Upon arrival, the owner and firefighters freed the cat. Animal welfare organizations warn that tilted windows pose a significant risk to cats, as they can become trapped and suffer severe injuries or even death if they try to squeeze through the opening.
