Millie the Cat Celebrates 30th Birthday, Owner Credits Bottled Water!

Millie, a tortoiseshell cat, has reached an incredible milestone: her 30th birthday! Her owner, Leslie Greenhough, believes Millie is the oldest living cat. Leslie credits her long life to a few special things. These include lots of cuddles, treats, and only drinking bottled Buxton water. Leslie's late wife, Paula, first got Millie as a kitten in 1995. Leslie celebrated Millie's birthday with a cake decorated with her picture and 30 candles. He hopes to get Millie into the Guinness Book of Records, but proving her age is difficult. Millie enjoys a pampered life. She wakes up around noon and eats salmon, prawns, chicken, and tuna. Leslie says she likes to do her own thing, often sleeping behind the sofa or in his bed. While she used to be bullied by other cats, she's now a happy indoor cat. Leslie believes this cautious lifestyle has helped her live longer.
