Edited by: Екатерина С.

Regensburg, Germany, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated its love for Dachshunds in a big way! The Dackelmuseum, known for its collection of Dachshund memorabilia, hosted a parade that broke a Guinness World Record. At least 897 Dachshunds marched through the historic town, some counts even suggesting 1,175 pups were present. Dog owners dressed in traditional clothing, waved banners, and sang with a marching band. The parade started in a parking lot, crossed a stone bridge, and passed the Dackelmuseum before finishing in the town square. Dachshunds and their owners came from 19 different European countries and beyond to participate. Dackelmuseum founder Seppi Küblbeck organized the parade to spread positivity, saying Dachshunds see everyone as equal. The museum announced its Guinness World Record on Instagram, celebrating the accomplishment. Dachshunds have a long history in Germany, where they were bred over 300 years ago to hunt badgers.
