Luna the Puppy Swallows 24 Socks! A Cautionary Tale for Pet Owners

Edited by: Екатерина С.

Luna, a seven-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog, recently had a surprising visit to the vet. After vomiting and showing signs of discomfort, Luna's family took her to the Corona Animal Emergency Center. X-rays revealed a shocking discovery: Luna's stomach was full of 24 socks, a scrunchie, hair ties, a shoe insert, and even a small onesie! The hospital staff performed emergency surgeries to remove the items. A gastrotomy cleared her stomach, and an enterotomy removed the onesie that was causing an intestinal blockage. Luna is now recovering well and feeling much better. The Corona Animal Emergency Center shared Luna's story as a reminder to pet owners to monitor their furry friends. They emphasized that preventing pets from eating non-food items is crucial. Luna's story highlights the importance of emergency veterinary care and the resilience of our beloved pets.
