China Launches AI Education Program for Students

Edited by: Olga N

China has introduced an educational program focused on artificial intelligence (AI) for students, spanning from primary to university levels. This initiative aims to prepare young individuals for the future job market and foster innovation.

The AI education program is tailored to students' ages. Younger students will learn basic AI concepts. Meanwhile, secondary and university students will explore the application of AI technology in various aspects of life, study, and work.

Universities, particularly in Beijing, require students to dedicate a minimum number of hours to AI-related courses. These courses cover machine learning, coding, and robotics. This move aligns with China's national strategy to become a global leader in AI, emphasizing education as a cornerstone.
