On April 30th, Folha de S.Paulo and Mackenzie University are co-hosting the seminar "Challenges of the University of the Future" at Mackenzie University's Ruy Barbosa auditorium in São Paulo. The seminar is a free event, but prior registration is required through Sympla. The seminar aims to address the evolving role of higher education in the face of rapid global transformations. The seminar will consist of two panels. The first panel, titled "Thinking about Brazil: Current and Future Demands," will discuss imminent changes impacting Brazil. The confirmed panelists include Márcio Rosa, Joana Guimarães, Ricardo Henriques, and Bruno Bioni. The second panel, "Higher Education in the Face of a World in Transformation," will explore the role of universities in integrating knowledge, developing talent, and fostering global research networks. Panelists for the second session include Ana Frattini, Cida Bento, Simon Schwartzman, and Marcus David. Laura Mattos from Folha de S.Paulo will moderate the seminar, which will be broadcast live on Folha's YouTube channel.
