The government of Santa Fe, Argentina, through its Ministry of Education, has invested $11,179,876,700 (Argentine currency, approximately $11 million USD) in school infrastructure improvements across 1804 educational institutions. This investment, managed through the Fondo de Asistencia a Necesidades Inmediatas (FANI), or Immediate Needs Assistance Fund, aims to address urgent infrastructure needs in schools throughout the province.
Minister of Education, José Goity, emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that schools have the resources they need to improve student learning. The FANI funds are used for various improvements, including roof repairs, electrical upgrades, sanitation installations, window and elevator repairs, furniture acquisition, and general renovations. School directors request FANI funds to address specific needs, fostering a collaborative approach to maintaining and improving educational facilities.
