Interiorscape Industry Pioneers Achieve Biophilic Design Certification, Setting New Standard

Edited by: Irena I

Jessica Buhr and Keeli McKae have become the first in the interiorscape industry to receive the Biophilic Design Certified Practitioner (BDCP) designation. The certification, awarded by the Biophilic Design Institute, marks a significant step in integrating nature into interior spaces.

The BDCP program equips design professionals with the knowledge to incorporate nature into the built environment, focusing on both aesthetics and well-being. This certification bridges the gap between design, occupant health, and ecological awareness, particularly relevant for interiorscapes using living plants.

"This certification reinforces how critical nature is to our interior environments -- not just for beauty, but for health, performance, and connection," said Jessica Buhr. The achievement sets a new standard for biophilic design in commercial and residential spaces, enhancing air quality, mental wellness, and productivity.

Biophilic design is increasingly vital for creating high-performing interior environments. Plant Solutions continues to lead in integrating biophilic principles into various spaces, reinforcing its position as a pioneer in nature-based design solutions.
