Kayaker Stalked by Great White Shark in New Zealand Waters

A New Zealand kayaker, Matt Wells, experienced a terrifying encounter when he was stalked by a massive great white shark in the Bay of Islands. Wells was fishing for yellowtail kingfish when he noticed splashing behind him and was shocked to discover a large great white shark approaching his kayak. The eight-minute ordeal was captured on camera, revealing Wells' understandable panic as the shark swam close. Despite the fear, Wells believes the shark was simply curious and 'just giving me a fright and having a bit of fun.' He managed to return to shore unharmed and has since resumed fishing.
