Druva Launches AI Tool for Cybersecurity Investigations

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Druva has introduced Dru Investigate, a generative AI-powered tool designed to streamline data security investigations through a natural language interface. This innovation allows IT, security, legal, and privacy teams to quickly identify and mitigate data risks without the need for complex queries.

Built on Amazon Bedrock, Dru Investigate enhances cyber and legal investigations by leveraging insights from protected data. Users can analyze the scope and impact of threats, detect anomalies, and find evidence of intrusions more efficiently.

“Druva connects teams with the insight and centralized access to the right data at the right time,” said Stephen Manley, CTO of Druva. This capability aims to empower users to conduct investigations even when they lack specific knowledge about potential threats.

In a related development, Tines has also launched an AI chat interface for its no-code platform, Tines Workbench, which simplifies cybersecurity workflow automation. This tool employs large language models to facilitate task orchestration through natural language queries, making it more accessible for cybersecurity teams that may lack programming skills.

“Generative AI now provides an alternative interface that should make the core Tines automation framework even more accessible,” said CEO Eoin Hinchy. The integration of AI is seen as crucial in addressing the ongoing shortage of cybersecurity professionals and enhancing response times during cyberattacks.

Both Druva and Tines’ innovations highlight a growing trend in the cybersecurity industry to leverage AI for improved efficiency and effectiveness in threat detection and response.
