Wipro has partnered with JFK International Air Terminal (JFKIAT) to develop a cloud-based data strategy utilizing Microsoft's Azure Data Platform. This AI-powered analytics solution aims to centralize terminal data across all functions, enhancing operational efficiency.
The three-year initiative, which commenced in 2023, focuses on improving passenger queuing times, implementing intelligent staff rostering, consolidating safety and security data, and tracking sustainability metrics. In its first year, Wipro established a centralized data foundation and improved business intelligence capabilities within JFKIAT's operations, finance, and safety departments.
Deepak Parameswaran, Vice President at Wipro, stated, "We are deploying AI and data analytics to optimize operational efficiencies and create new revenue streams for JFKIAT." Steve Tukavkin, Vice President of IT at JFKIAT, emphasized the importance of the new solution in breaking down information silos for better decision-making.
