The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a weather update advising residents of Nairobi to prepare for medium to heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday. The forecast, effective from 9 am Friday to 9 am Saturday, indicates that areas including Embakasi West, Embakasi Central, and Embakasi North will experience significant precipitation.
Rainfall amounts may reach up to 10mm in these regions, while Dagoretti North, Dagoretti South, and Westlands are also expected to see similar weather conditions. Conversely, areas such as Langata, Starehe, Kamukunji, Embakasi East, and Embakasi West are likely to receive little to no rainfall.
Despite the rain forecast, the Kenya Meteorological Department noted that the majority of the country will remain sunny and dry during the week of September 24 to September 30. However, occasional rainfall is still anticipated in the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, and along the Coast. Additionally, daytime temperatures are expected to exceed 30°C in various regions, including the South Rift Valley and the Coast.
